Bachelor of Science (Non-Medical)

General Nursing and Midwifery is a 3 years diploma course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate(10+2). Nursing is the art of taking care of sick people and midwifery is a profession that provides assistance to a mother during labor as well as pregnancy. Subjects studied under this degree are Biological Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Behavioral Science, Psychology, Sociology, Fundamentals of Nursing and First Aid.

General Nursing and Midwifery (Diploma) is recognized by Indian Nursing Council New Delhi, Punjab Government and Punjab Nurses Registration Council Chandigarh.

Age limit : Age for admission is 17 years - 35 years (as on 31st dec of that year completed 17 years)

Educational qualification : 10+2 passed with aggregate of 40 % marks
If ANM passed willing to join GNM means 10+ ½ year training should also have passed + 2 or its equivalent exam.

Commencement & duration of course : 1st sept. of every year & 3 year course.
